Course Overview:

Designed for those assessing VOCATIONALLY RELATED QUALIFICATIONS (VRQs) or similar. Qualifications such as those that are assessed by assignments, tests, etc.

New QCF Qualification

This qualification is for individuals who would like to pursue a career in assessing vocationally related qualifications within the active leisure sector. It is suitable for programme managers, studio coordinators, experienced fitness instructors and any one who would like to help raise the standards in the fitness industry.

Candidates will need to have industry experience and hold a nationally recognised qualification in the subject area that they wish to assess and  aged 18 or over

What you will learn:

1. Unit 1: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
2. Unit 2: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

• How to plan, prepare and conduct an assessment
• Complete assessment paperwork
• The stages of the assessment process
• Assessment skills, strategies and methods
• How to make valid, reliable assessment decisions and meet national requirements
• The quality assurance procedures and practices
