This course will give you the knowledge and the skills you need to
design exercise programmes which have been adapted for effective
workouts outside of the gym, in the home, the park and setting up boot camp training. This course is part of the Personal Training Qualification but can be taken as a standalone course
You must already have a Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing (or equivalent)
What you will learn:
To adapt exercises outside and in different training environments
Plan safe and effective exercises in limited spaces and use portable equipment
The benefits of walking and different levels of walking
Safety considerations
Assessment
Design an exercise session in an environment outside of the gym
Teach the exercise session to a client using portable equipment and walking
What to do now:
Complete an online application form, making full payment
You will be assigned a tutor with contact via email or telephone
Your training resources will be sent to you in the post
You will attend your training day, returning for your practical assessment when you are ready
Some home study is required
What you will achieve:
CYQ Level 3 Award in Instructing Outdoor Fitness
Level 3 on the REPs register (Register of Exercise Professionals)
20 REPs points
