Course overview:

This course replaces the Level 4 V1

This qualification is for individuals who would like to pursue a career in internal verifying  and quality assuring the assessment process. If you are already an assessor and would like to advance your career becoming an Internal Verifier is the way forward.

You must hold one of the following qualifications or their recognised equivalent:

• The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

• Active IQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

• The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

• A1 Assess candidate performance using a range of methods

• D32 Assess candidate performance and D33 Assess candidate using differing sources of evidence
  

What you will learn:

1. Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
2. Unit 2: Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment

• Contribute to Quality Assurance Procedures
  
• The role of the Internal Verifier
• How to describe the respective roles and responsibilities of bodies involved in the development of qualifications
• The principles of assessment
• How to give feedback and action plans
• The process of standardisation within the assessment process

Assessment:                            

1. Sampling plan
2. Internal verification report
3. Standardisation exercise

5. Observation of internal verification including
