Course overview:

This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

Entry requirements

This qualification is open to all. But you will need to have 2 learners to assess as they carry out work in their workplace.

Qualification structure and credit value

This qualification contains three mandatory units 

1. Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

2. Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

3. Assess occupational competence in the work environment

Assessment

There must be evidence of carrying out assessments of two learners occupational competence in the work place (four assessments in total).

Internally assessed:

• Coursework
• Portfolio of Evidence
• Practical Demonstration / Assignment
• Worksheet or professional discussion
