Course overview:
This qualification is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre and those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff.
This is a mix of E learning for Unit 1, one day face to face delivery and distance learning.
You must already hold one of the following qualifications or their recognised equivalent:
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
- Active IQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- A1 Assess candidate performance using a range of methods
- D32 Assess candidate performance and D33 Assess candidate using differing sources of evidence
- Show current evidence of Continuing Professional Development in assessment and quality assurance
- Show up-to-date working knowledge and experience of best practice in assessment and quality assurance
Qualification structure:
This qualification contains three mandatory units
1. Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring
the Quality of Assessment
2. Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
3. Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility

Assessment
Internally assessed:
- Portfolio of Evidence
- Observation of Performance
- Examining Products of Work
- Worksheet or professional discussion
What to do now:
- Complete an online application form, making your deposit or full payment
- Receive access to your e learning for Unit 1
- You will attend the above 2 training days ( Some home study is expected) with tutor assistance
- You will complete your assignments and produce a porfolio of evidence
- You should have access to at least 2 assessors who will need to learners in order for you to provide the above evidence
- Submission
of performance based video evidence is required for Unit 5. If you are
unable to provide video evidence, your assessor will need to perform a
direct observation for an
additional fee.
